When you create an account on SmartBuy, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through our authentication provider, Supabase. We use Supabase Auth for secure user registration and login, which may include email/password and third-party OAuth providers (GitHub, Google).

2. Payment Processing

We use Stripe to process payments. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information (credit card number, billing address) is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers. We only retain your Stripe customer ID and subscription status to manage your account.

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how users interact with our application. PostHog may collect information such as pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address. This data helps us improve the product experience. You can opt out of analytics tracking by using a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring you can only access your own data. All data transmission is encrypted via TLS/SSL.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, all personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
